PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONSEQUENCES OF POLLUTION RESOURCES?

World Water Day, marked last weekend with work activities on arrangement of riverbed of Nis Gabrovacka river, in the part of settlement Crvena Zvezda Under patronage of City Municipality of Palilula and support of PUE “Mediana” and PUE “Naisus” consortium of organizations of civil society with media EKOPOLIS network, citizens of this settlement, association Puls, representatives of Office for Youth Palilula, successfully organized one more ecological action. According to Milan Djurdjevic, president of Assembly of Palilula Municipality, this activity is realized under the motto “Water for cities: Answer to urban challenges”. Collected waste immediately took workers of PUE Mediana. There were tires, carpets, plastic but and other waste from households. Action was and warning to negligent residents of the this part of the city that in the future utility police will react decisively in cases that violate hygiene in settlements. Today most of the world population lives in the cities? Population in urban areas increases faster that the infrastructure network in accordance to the needs? If our city remains without water it can lead to various health problems of the citizens. Because it is very important to keep our rivers from pollution – highlighted Boban Mikic, member of the Council and Slavoljub Savic, Head of Municipal Administration Associate, of City Municipality of Palilula, who with other participants of this action – volunteers, sent a message to its neighbors – citizens of Nis to save water and protect water resources from pollution. Let`s all do something to the consequences for our health does not come – highlighted this conscientious citizens of  Palilula. With action on Gabrovacka river it was marked one more activity within national and world camping “Clean up the World – Clean up the Serbia”, which and this year achieved in cooperation with EKOpolis and other organizations of civil society in Region.
